Days 10-11
bad things.
things you don't want to deal with. at all.
things that suck.
you can't help it.
it happens to everyone.
basically, there are three main options
a) complain about it loudly
b) curl up in a fetal position
c) deal with it
eventually, option c has to happen. (it is usually accompanied by option a.) so why prolong it? it's not like in the mean time you'll be able to stop worrying about it and have some fun.
there's no use being upset about it or worrying about it. just deal with it. fix it. hurry up and take care of it so you can stop being worried about it.

2010: The Year of No Fear - Days Seven Through Nine
What is it about this person that ticks me off and why?
Why am I so bothered by such small things?
Why do people do these terribly irritating things?
Thinking about these questions can be a terrific help.
I myself have realized that I possess every single irritating quality of my friends that I constantly complain about.
I'm grumpy, I'm loud, I'm irresponsible, I'm inconsiderate, I'm lazy, I don't take things seriously, I don't call when I say I will- the list goes on and on.
"Everything that irritates us about others can lead to a better understanding of ourselves."
I'm human, therefore I am imperfect.
So is everybody else.
Pointing out bad qualities in others isn't going to make my own go away.
Worry about yourself.
on a side note:
It's funny because God is the only one who has any right to point fingers, and yet He is the only one that doesn't.

2010: The Year of No Fear - Day Six
This is kind of a lame continuation of yesterday.
Today I realized that things (all types of things, not just school) are never as hard as they seem. I have a terrible habit of being confronted with a problem and just ignoring it or dreading it but not doing anything. I realized today that it’s really not that hard to deal with things. Approaching something from a logical position works wonders. You need to think “okay, so first i need to do this. and then after i lay out the groundwork i can start to do this. and then eventually it’ll be like this”.
A week ago I was scared to death to have to write a five page paper. Today I realized all I need to do is come up with some ideas (easy), and put them together in a way that makes sense (easy). Of course this conclusion was reached with a little helper named “the time management sheet my teacher gave me” but still. A few days ago I was dreading writing my newspaper article. Today I wrote three. I usually look at math problems and think “no way”. Today I actually took the time to figure it out and felt satisfied with myself.

i think i spend too much time on the internet.
2010: The Year of No Fear - Day Five
I know that sounds really stupid and obvious, but it’s something I’ve been hearing all my life and mostly ignoring. I always said “yeah, I could do it if I tried, it’s not like I’m stupid, I’m just too lazy.” I realized though that it’s really not that hard to put in a little bit of effort.
It doesn’t take that long to study, and it’s pretty easy to just read the textbook a little and think about it and just DO THE WORK. Instead of my usual “f--k it” attitude, I’ve really been trying to spend the extra time and figure things out.
This doesn’t just go for school but for everything. It may have taken me WAY too long, but I’m glad I finally realized it.
so i have an idea.
every day, i'm going to post a blog. i know, big deal right?
well i kind of plan on having a theme.
"2010: The Year of No Fear" as my beloved Nicholas Jonas calls it, is a time where, as lame as it sounds, I'm already starting to realize a lot of important stuff.
I thought it would be cool [cool is the wrong word] if each day i wrote about something I learned or discovered.
I'll start with today, which would be day five already.
I don't know how long this'll last but i hope i can do it for a while.
